Use Cases of Visibility Service

Case (1): Visualization using the customer’s own layout/report format

If your company is creating reports internally that compile logistics information, Visibility Service can automatically generate them instead of you. A tedious task is eliminated and labor costs are reduced.

BEFORE It is a lot of work to cobble together information into various reports concerning delivery dates and inventory checks... It is difficult work to look up information internally and at the companies with which we do business and integrate everything with internal data... AFTER Visualization with freedom of customization of layout/report format! Internal data can also be input. For example, the service can be utilized for internal monthly reports, reducing the amount of work performed creating reports!
  • e.g.) Global warehouse inventory statuses
  • e.g.) Logistics situation trend analysis

Case (2): Visualization of global warehouse and of overseas/retained inventory in transit

Expected inbound and outbound shipments/stock performance/inbound and outbound shipment performance are centrally managed, with warehouse statuses checked daily and demand fluctuations controlled for. It is also possible to optimize inventory quantities. (Waste and lack of stock are prevented.)

BEFORE When is the next inbound (outbound) movement of goods into (out of) the warehouses scheduled? Has there been a delay? Should we stock our inventory generously in case of rapid changes in demand...? Which products were stocked excessively and how many units are now retained...? Every day there is so much work to be performed and not all of its gets finished... AFTER Centralized management of warehouse, transportation and retained inventories around the world.

Case (3): More convenience through the use of smartphone/tablet

If the smartphone is used effectively and on-site conditions are recorded to the system, overseas warehouse statuses can be easily checked on the customer side. Customers can immediately check statuses even while out of the office.

BEFORE The on-site side: Repetition of manual tasks and computer input... Overtime again... The customer side
: What is happening with that product’s transport and inventory status? When will the delivery time be? AFTER The use of smartphones and tablets improves work efficiency for both companies!

Case (4): Searching ship movement information

The service delivers the ability to monitor ship movement information and to perform traces at the container level via the cloud, simplifying the difficult task of checking freight statuses for each customer.

BEFORE It is too much work manually checking carriers' web pages each time you need to know booking information or delivery time data... When are the items likely to arrive in Japan? Will they arrive at the port on schedule as originally set? Is there a problem concerning the freight transport status for that customer? AFTER Ship movement information is monitored, and tracing is performed at the container level.
